Staining Tips

For very dark colors, I recommend wiping the wood with water first to make the wood pop. Let dry for one hour, if this step is necessary I will state this on your invoice. 


Next take a rag with the stain, wipe in the direction of the wood grain. then wipe off excess with a clean rag. Soft woods like Pine, Poplar and Birch will need a pre s

Most colors dry within 24 hours, darker colors can take between 48-78 hours.

How to Order

How to Order

First, send me a piece of wood or sample  of color you are trying to match. Also a wood piece that will be stained. This piece should be at least a foot long.

Please let me know much stain you will need, the stain only comes in quart cans. A quart will cover approximately 100-120 sq ft.
